Director Sathyan Anthikad is gearing up for his next, a Thrissur-based tale with Dulquer Salmaan. Premam fame Anupama Parameswaran, who hasn’t signed another major project in Malayalam except for a cameo in James and Alice, will be back in the industry as heroine through this project.
The director says, “She plays the heroine, Catherine. Dulquer proposes to her as she is pretty and hails from a wealthy household. Catherine, who spent her formative years in Dubai, is now settled in Kerala. She has completed her education, but is the kind who doesn’t work as her family is well-off.”
Dulquer will play the fourth son of Mukesh’s character in the yet-to-be-titled film. “The love track of Dulquer and Anupama would be showcased with an ounce of humour,” the director explains. Meanwhile, there will also be another heroine played by a newbie in the film. The team is currently holding auditions for this role. Innocent, Muthumani, Vinu Mohan, Irshad and Vinay Forrt are also part of the cast.
The movie, scripted by Iqbal Kuttipuram, will be shot primarily in Thrissur, and also in locales in Tamil Nadu such as Tirupur, Pollachi, Thanjavur and Kanchipuram. Its shoot will start on August 29, and is slated for Christmas release.
